Bridal gowns 2013
Morning ladies, hope you’re all doing well this fine morning. And we’re about to make it that little bit sunnier with a little bit of bridal eye-candy – the 2013 Marchesa Bridal Collection.
One of our favourite couture bridal designers, Marchesa always offers up that little bit of red carpet glamour and princess fantasy for the bride. These are the wedding gowns that little girls dreams are made of.
From the sleek silhouettes of the heavy duchesse satin column dresses to the short flirty numbers, and right back to full skirted a-line gowns, the new Marchesa bridal collection caters for every style of bride but all have this inner sophistication…
Silver metallic embroidery and lace featured on nearly every dress in the 2013 Marchesa bridal collection from mesh design of the top gown to the floral motifs on the bodices of this strapless dress, there was variety yet homogenity in the collection. It really was a bridal collection, unlike many of the other designers we saw show at New York Bridal Fashion Week who showed more random designs.
Not usually a fan of big puffy skirts, I make an exception for this next dress – this fantasy tulle skirt and delicate lace bodice (that looks almost finer than air) is a personal favourite…
And the grand finale – maybe it’s the sequinned veil, maybe it’s the delicate scattering of crystals on the bodice and skirt that look as if they were put there by angels, but this is the fairy princess wedding dress. Marchesa, we love you.
