Black Beauty

First up we have the classic LBD. The Black Beauty of dresses. The romantic lace and statement bow on the first dress from  Mango for €149.99  is perfect  for a black tie wedding. It is so elegant and feminine and the bow detail hides and multitude for any tummy conscious wedding guests out there. If you feel like a splurge why not invest in the gorgeous jumpsuit from Maria Lucia Hohan. At €550 it isn’t cheap but it is so classically beautiful, we don’t think you’ll be regretting this investment!

If you are after a structured and classically cut gown, why not try this stunning bandeau maxi dress from Coast for €285. The detail on the front is so striking and we think it would be lovely with minimal accessories. Let the dress do the talking.  And last but not least, if money is no deterrent, then why not splash out on this a-maz-ing Misora gathered wool-crepe and silk gown by Roksanda Ilincic at Net-A-Porter. The price tag of €990 may be a push but how could you not want to arrive at a black tie wedding in this beaut. It is so understated but somehow is such a show stopper. We can’t decide which we like the best out of this collection of gorgeousness! We’ll take them all…

Pretty in Print

So far we have covered black and bold coloured dresses and we are big fans. It seems to be, though, that people are weary of introducing prints and patterns into their outfits when it comes to Black Tie Glamour. We say go for it. There are too many fabulous fabrics to be sticking to plain and simple and we think you would all look ever so pretty in print. Ted Baker has this pretty little floral number at the moment. It’s perfect for a summery black tie wedding and the pop of colour with the belt works so well. Not bad for ?229. If you like the idea of a foral evening dress but were looking for something a little more fitted, why not try this red floral print dress from Karen Millen  for €299.

We also thought the curassi printed maxi from Ted Baker for ?229 would be perfect for a black tie wedding summer soiree. Also Karen being the brilliant bargain hunter that she is, found this amazing Rosine printed jumpsuit available from net-a-porter which is reduced from €2,379.67  down to €713.90. Still on the more expensive side of things but with a reduction of 70% it’s hard to resist.

We are big fans of the gorgeous plum coloured, embellished silk peplum gown by Malene Birger available at Net-A-Porter for €551.95. Last but not least we have this sequenced show stopper. How fabulous would you feel arriving to the event in this drop dead gorgeous gold sequin gown from Rachel Gilbert  for $1,195. It is such a party piece and we think it is just fabulous dahh-ling.
